The Olde Farmhouse is a beautiful example of country living at its finest. After walking through the front door, you feel as though you have stepped back in time.

The home was built in 1910 for the Homer Clute family and was designed by an architect from Chicago. The farm originally consisted of the acreage north, east, and west of the house. The Clute family only lived in the house for a few years, moving into the city of Marshall when Mr. Clute became the manger of the Farmer's Elevator.

The Hamilton family then moved into the house as tenant farmers. The Hamilton's lived in the house until the late 1960's. The house was then rented to various tenants during which time it fell into disrepair.

The Gardner family bought the house in 1992 and began the restoration process, adding the 1500 square foot addition onto the back of the house. We bought the house in 2001, finished the restoration and opened our bed and breakfast in September of 2002.

We contine to enhance the beauty of The Olde Farmhouse by adding extensive landscaping and we added a swimming pool in the spring of 2004.
